What will Reiki do for you?

PHYSICALLY:

Reiki helps you to get touch with your body. You begin to hear the messages that it has been sending you. People are often closed off from these messages because of their busy daily lives, stress and tension. But through Reiki it is possible to once again connect with your self at a deeper, inner level.
Physical symptoms represent about 10% of your condition, the remaining 90% is held within the body. By becoming more aware a greater understanding of the overall dis-ease can be gained. The effected part of the body can also be a good indicator of the cause of the problem.

PSYCHOLOGICALLY:

From conception and birth to the present day our view of life and health have been influenced by our experiences. Psychologists say that our belief systems are constructed and laid down by the age of 5 years. Beliefs and attitudes are very powerful thought patterns.
Plants and other living beings pick up on our thoughts and the intention behind those thoughts.
If the negative belief systems are being held onto for a long time they become very rigid and are harder to change, i.e. I am not good enough, I can’t do it etc.
Reiki begins to slowly melt away and get you to challenge these old patterns.
You can change…or not, it’s up to you.

EMOTIONALLY:

We experience many emotions in our lives and sometimes there’s an inability to deal or cope with them, so they get suppressed and hidden away. They become subconscious.
Reiki helps to loosen these emotions that a person is now able to confront. They begin to surface and as this happens the choice could be to understand the feeling (with the advantage of experience of life) and let it go, or to hold on once again.

ENERGETICALLY:

We are born with an energy blue-print, an aura which contains information about our true potential, our strengths and weaknesses. It is also the first line of defence against an illness. The aura can be affected by many things - environmental factors, negative thought forms, diet, stress, life situations etc.
Reiki expands this subtle system which has the effect of helping clear away blocked or congested energy. The expansion will also mean a heightened sensitivity to energies within the environment - ‘good’ or ‘bad’.

EMOTIONAL SOURCES OF DIS-EASE

Reiki energy heals the whole person. In healing a headache for example, Reiki also heals other organs and levels. If the healer’s hands are on the person’s pain area - her head, many headaches have their source in the digestive system. The headache might be caused by intestinal disturbances and so the energy goes to the intestines as well as to the patient’s head to help with the pain. These are both physical-level areas. If the headache has emotional causes like stress for example, Reiki will also heal on that level. Likewise if the source of the pain is at the mental or spiritual energy body levels. If the person receiving the healing also has another dis-ease or perhaps allergies, Reiki will act there too whether they have mentioned it to the healer or not.

People and animals etc. are so much more than physical Be-ings. We have a dense physical body that is immediately perceptible by our senses, but we also have non-physical bodies that are energy levels comprised of Ki that direct the state of our physical body. Healing cannot be physical alone and must include the vibrational energy bodies. Where modern medicine treats our physical body, Reiki treats all of our bodies. Therefore healing goes much further than medicine and is far more complete in its results. For example taking an aspirin tablet for a headache may relieve the pain in the head but does not heal the source of the pain. So the headache might return after three hours. But with Reiki we get to the cause of the pain and the headache will not return. This is especially true for more serious dis-eases.

Most metaphysical healers believe that all physical pain has non-physical roots in emotional trauma, negative mental patterns or spiritual despair. To heal the dis-ease, these roots must be discovered and treated. This has been a major work for two women - Louise Hay “You Can Heal Your Life” and “Heal Your Body”, Hay House 1984 and 1982; and the earlier Alice Steadman “Who’s The Matter With Me?”, ESPress, Inc., 1966. Both women present a listing of body parts or dis-eases with their definitions of where the illness originated.
